I woke up to a foot of snow on the ground here at Mi Casa.... the most I've seen here in years. Usually I get an inch or two and that's it for this elevation. Of course, it's always deeper up higher in the timber. This should be it for a couple of days I think but temps could get colder. It's in the low 30s now. Who'd a thunk it possible... all this and the lights didn't flicker even once.(knock on wood) I'm waiting on a scouting report on the roads before I venture out but with all the rigs at my disposal it's just a matter of whether I want four-wheel-drive or not. I normally drive the 'Stang but it has too much power and is a hockey-puck in the snow and I don't need that.
The talking heads are now saying this winter weather isn't done here in the swamp. They're predicting another wave to come through tomorrow and Thursday and it looks like it will be stronger than the one we just had.... winds & stuff this time. I knew I shouldn't have mentioned the lack of power outages. We'll see I guess....

Rain is moving in. I just wish Mother Nature would make up her mind.
