Today's cover shot: No explanation needed. It's just about the birds 'n bees. I LOVE my NIKON!

With the help of the Wildcat Rescue Haven, we think we have figured out what Joey's breeding might be. They think he is what is called a "Pixie Bob". It is an established domestic breed with roots in exotic "wild" breeds and mixed somewhere in history with American Bobcat. It would probably put him several generations from being a direct hybrid, Cats only have 38 chromosomes for a total of 19 pairs of dna markers so there's not much room for getting a "fine" reading.

I had never heard of a Pixie Bob but it apparently is a breed that started here in the northwest. I Googled it and was amazed that so much information was available and how closely it describes Joey and the way he acts. I think we've got the mystery solved so now I've just got to figure out how to get him to play nice-nice with the rest of the gang.

Wahoooo! Enjoy that beautiful Blue Moon and Have a Happy Hump Day!

WOW, that is a spectacular shot of the 'Blue' moon :)
I love it when it rises over hills or trees. It was shining brightly very early this morning and I nearly blinded myself by looking out the window.
