Mariposa - I don't know which I like better... the Iris or the Lillies. I actually like their coloring equally I guess. They each show off in different ways....
How did the full weekend off work out for you? Are you ready to put in your retirement notice????
The weekend was great. It's just that Monday that follows the weekend I can't get over. Oh well two more weeks of work then I'm turning off the phone and taking a week off. No plans just won't be at work.
That retirement thingy will have to wait. I like to eat, so I still need an income. Besides it won't be long before I need to replace my car. She's still running, but I think I may be on borrowed time.
Mariposa - I well understand the need to live trumping the want to retire. How many miles do you have on your car? And, is she starting to leak or make strange noises???? If they've been dependable, they usually don't just die... thank goodness.
Oops! Dr. appointment today.... and I almost had a piece of toast for breakfast. She would have had a fit if I wasn't fasting before she got a chance to stick needles into me. Just doin' my best to keep the girls in my life happy.
Mr.Ed, those lillies are really pretty! Shame they don't bloom longer. The ones my son gave me are red/orange, I just love them but now they are done. They are in 3 pots and I keep them watered...this fall I'll transplant some to the front borders.
Carol - I haven't been able to figure out why but for some reason my lilies don't all bloom at the same time. I've had different plants blooming for about three weeks and it looks like they're good for about another week before they're done. I don't understand it because they're all planted the same depth and in basically the same type of soil and lighting. It's probably just that they are different varieties. I dunno!!!! Even the Day Lilies seem to have a schedule that is all their own.....
My flowers have all been going nuts. Lots of color with my lilies, glads, cone flowers and every thing else. If dear hubby ever finishes the fence for the back yard I'll divide some of them and transplant them.

I meant to mention it earlier but my Glads have gone crazy over the past week and are in full bloom now!
My Glads are up too, love the pretty 'orchid' color (pale lavender)
My Day Lilies are mostly thru now, the are in a 'bunch' in the back border.
