Today's cover shot......... a tight bud caught in the recent rain we've had here in the swamp. The raindrops always look like little diamonds decorating what's already a masterpiece of nature.
TGIF!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!! Oops! Hey! What happened to July??? I wasn't through kicking it around yet!!! Oh well, new month to break in.....
Well, August has certainly come in like a LION! Thunder-boomers and lightning since midnight and a couple of good rain squalls this morning. But, on the good side, it's been wet enough that I doubt there will be any new fires to deal with.
Up to 85 now and rising. Watered everything.
We only heard a few rumbles of thunder this morning, but no moisture. Supposed to be the same tonight.
Hope it won't start more fires, apparently there were many lightening strikes last night all around the area, but no harm.
Well, following all the thunder, lightning and rain we got out here in the boonies, we've got a really beautiful day today & it smells SOOOOOOO good! There didn't seem to be any lightning strikes anywhere close to my properties so I'll start breathing again. I caught a little over a quarter inch of rain in my raingauge so if there's more lightning tonight it shouldn't be much of a threat.
I snuck out for lunch.... had a chili, cheese, kielbasa dog... fine dining at its FINEST!!!!
