OOOOH AHHHH. So pretty.

TGIF. All I need to do is get through today and I can enjoy another week end.

Freddy will be starting his vacation a day early. He got himself hurt yesterday and found out by trial and error he couldn't drive.

Today's cover page shot: Sometimes Mother Nature gets very creative with the colors as she paints her canvas.........

With the death of Joan Rivers, I think we have the "3rd" one, even though it was 3 weeks later than Becall and Williams.

That sunset shot is absolutely beautiful!!! My Dad took one of a sunset and I have it framed and in the guest bedroom, the one I painted orange! It looks so good in there - the colors all go together!

Carol - I think you might be right about Joan. She was sarcastic and controversial but she was FUNNY!!!!

An observation about sunsets: If the colors aren't exactly right, you can wait a few minutes and they will change. BUT... you have to take the shot you are given because you can never go BACK!!! And, with that pearl of wisdom I confess that I have thrown away THOUSANDS of sunset shots. Another pearl: Sunrise shots are more work and timing is everything! Their drawback: You have to get up so early to GET THEM!

Mr. Ed, yes, Joan Rivers was FUNNY, irreverent, and bold as brass but she was one of the first of her kind, along with Phyllis Diller and Totie Fields. There weren't any female comics of that ilk before those 3. She was also very kind to beginning comics, giving them a chance and encouraging them.
It was such a shame she underwent that procedure, especially when not in a hospital; dangerous for someone of her age.
