Well, THIT!!! So, bring it on and let's get through today to the best of our abilities. Gonna be a hot one here in the swamp... back up to the triple digits we narrowly missed last weekend.
I got my hay fields mowed and baled. I hadn't planned on doing anything with it but I decided to donate it to neighbors who seem to struggle to make ends meet. I keep telling them to get rid of the cattle but they seem to think that's the farming they want to be involved in. The hay didn't cost me anything to grow and very little for the cutting and bailing time. I hate to waste something that can be used by somebody. I guess that comes from growing up dirt-poor and the knowledge you didn't dare waste anything.
Today's cover shot: Geraniums enjoying the summer. They smell terrible but make great hanging pots.
Oops! My bad! Those Geraniums are really Nasties..... Nasturtiums!!! I got my shots mixed up. Nasturtium blossoms and leaves are edible and quite tasty, somewhat like watercress, in a salad. With me it seems like it's always about food.
I hadn't even thought about this being a three day weekend. Hope it's a relaxing one for you. I've got a car maintenance appointment for first thing Monday morning. That's a 120 mile adventure... sixty each way. On the plus side, it's free and part of the 150 thousand mile bumper to bumper service and maintenance warranty I got with the car so I shouldn't complain too much.

Today is my Friday. Sooo looking forward to the three day weekend. I'm sure we have something to do, I'm not sure what. I just go along for the ride.

I thought those were strange looking Geraniums, but what do I know. I just thought they were a different variety.
Note my red face that isn't from sunburn.
AHHHH the long weekend is here.
