Temps right at 90ยบ this afternoon but the smoke is so thick you can almost cut it with a knife. I'm guessing visibility at about ¼ mile... maybe slightly more. There are no fires immediately close to my location but the winds are bringing in all the smoke from the Eastern Oregon and Washington fires. I think this is the worst I've ever seen it for dry conditions. They've had a red flag warning going all weekend. It is just explosively dry so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, the equipment fueled up and the crews on standby.
The entertainment value of this blog depends upon the contributions of those who visit. If you have something on your mind... toss it out and see who responds. If you have nothing on your mind, a simple "hi" is always nice.

Ahhhhh! Can you smell it? That sweet, sweet smell that only comes from the freedom of the weekend. Enjoy it to the max!
Today's cover shot: The end of a change in weather accompanied with the smoke of the burning NW. The spectacular sunsets just keep happening!
Another comfortable August day. I think I'll go look at some fabric.
