Sunday has arrived! I wish I had time to put my feet up and enjoy it but reality seems to be in the way preventing that from happening. It looks like it is going to be another day of sweating out the fire situation here in the NW. So far, there haven't been any major threats in my area... a couple of small break-outs but nothing serious. One of my crews jumped on a small one about a half mile from one of my properties and were able to hold it until regular fire crews arrived. I'd much rather the fight be on some one else's property rather than on mine. Most people are being very careful but the one my guys jumped on was caused by a lawn mower that hit a rock and the sparks set the grass on fire. I think I need to get out of this business. The dry summers are too nerve wracking!
Today's cover shot: One of the sets of twins in this year's class...........

Wishing you luck on the fires staying away. I would think as dry as it's been the grass would not need to be cut. Stay safe.
Even without rain the dandelions and weeds just keep growing.
Temperatures and winds are down today so it's looking much better. No new fires in my area... thank goodness!
