Today's cover shot: Day Lillies.... always pretty for the season.

TGIF!!!! We're here! Yaaaaaaaayyyy! Hmmmmmmmmm.... No plans except to stay cool! Definitely gonna get hot!

Eggs Benedict for breakfast... with my side dish. It was her idea... makes you wonder what she's up to....... It can't be my sparkling personality or talent for conversation at that hour of the day......

I like lilies.

Hubby is having work done on the house. Siding put on and the old asbestos soffits replaced. We've put up new lights and mailbox. Two trips to the hardware store for shutters. Who knew the measurements listed on the package weren't exactly accurate. We do now. The house looks great. Next up will be a new garage door.

You had asbestos in your house? A lot of older houses had asbestos tile on their floors. Hard to get rid of it without exposing yourself to a lot of toxic dust.

Not in, ON. It came down easy. The guy said the real bad exposure come from the dust so if you are sawing it or drilling into it and creating dust that's bad. Taking it down in one piece isn't so bad. I hope for his sake that's true.

He's correct. It's good that it's gone.

It looks soooo much better, and very little painting to do now.

One of the old houses I bought and tore down last year had a lot of asbestos in the insulation, flooring, and pipe wrapping. The state was a real pain-in-the-heine over the removal & disposal. I was really happy to finally see that house gone!

Well, Mother Nature gave it her best shot but fell a tad short of triple digits on the thermometer. I'm reading just a tick over 99ยบ but I think that's as high as it's going today. It's not too bad but it's kinda like opening the oven and getting that breath-taking blast of heat right in your face. Once the initial shock wears off it's survivable. I just hope it cools off overnight so people can get their rest. My heat pump takes all that out of mi casa... thankfully!
